About the Author

Scott Sheets grew up among the fields of Northwest Ohio and graduated from a country school with a class of about 120. At one point in his high school years he considered pursuing a career as a physicist. However, he ended up following a path that led him into ordained ministry.

Ministry requires writing in various degrees, but rarely fiction writing. A trip back home after a vacation gave birth to that genre in Scott's writing. His children asked him to tell a story to pass the time on their trip. Out of that story, Daniel and the Sea Serpent was born.

Today, Scott ministers in a small town in North Dakota where the friendly, hometown environment provides a wonderful setting to raise a family. He has been married to Christy for almost twenty years and together they have three beautiful children.

When he's not writing, he enjoys sports of all kinds and coaches a youth football team in the fall. In the summer you might find him fishing somewhere with some friends or camping. Playing with his children and spending time with his wife however, top the list of his favorite things to do.
